Deliver Excellence in diagnostic services, accessible to all in need at the right time at affordable prices by creating a value chain in diagnostics.

Utilising global best in diagnostic testing services and delivering them at doorsteps of patients, doctors and healthcare service providers 24 Hours a day, 7 Days a week, 365 days a year.

  • The laboratory provides holistic services in the form of Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Histopathology, Cytopathology, Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Serology and Immunology.
  • The 24-hour operation provides for the any test, any time approach to the patient management.
  • Automated state-of-art equipments: The department is well equipped with fully automated, state-of-art analyzer systems and is in keeping with the progressive outlook of the hospital. This set of equipments has helped to maintain minimal downtime error.
  • Integrated Laboratory / Hospital Information System: The laboratory system is integrated with the LIS and HMS providing for minimal human handling and improving the operational efficiency and productivity. The system integration also provides for the capability of online reporting.
  • Bar-code (positive) identification system: The system improves the efficiency of the process flow and minimises any random errors.
  • Bi-directional interface of analyzers: This ensures error-free reporting and improves the turnaround time by obviating manual entry.
  • Web-report viewing: The system facilitates the patients to view their result using the internet at their base. This result viewing is password protected.
  • Quality Assurance programmes: The laboratory conducts stringent quality assurance programmes using internal quality controls as well as robust quality measures in place. The department is participant to various proficiency testing programmes and thus helping in validating its quality process.
  • Home-care facilities: For patient convenience, we also provide personalized services in the form of home collection of blood samples.
  • Stat sample facilities: As part of our endeavour to improve the patient management, the laboratory has STAT facilities where the urgent samples are processed and reported on priority.
  • Qualified and well-trained team of pathologists and technologists is the cornerstone of the laboratory services

We follow excellent Quality Control and Standardisation procedures in all aspects of Laboratory Medicine and this is of fundamental importance for us for the provision of clinical diagnosis and optimal patient-care.

Proficiency testing determines the performance of individual laboratories for specific tests or measurements and is used to monitor laboratories continuing performance.
Proficiency testing involves a group of laboratories or analysts performing the same analysis on the same samples and comparing results. The key requirements of such comparisons are that the samples are homogeneous and stable and also that the set of samples analyzed are appropriate to test and display similarities and differences in results.
We are committed to perform proficiency testing on regular basis to ensure the best quality of our services.

The section of immunoserology offers an exhaustive menu of investigations covering hormones, infectious disease, oncology, cardiology and anemia.
The immunodiagnostic equipments, COBAS E-411, provide marked improvement in quality of results, optimizing assay performance and productivity. The continuous, random access to the sample loading alongwith STAT operation helps in providing results any time. The systems provides for the positive sample identification and results integrity verification as well as extensive immunological menu. Various patented technologies in the systems perform, monitor and verify diagnostic checks throughout sample and assay processing resulting in increased confidence in result reporting. The methodology is Electro chemiluminescence technology and this provides for accurate and highly specific results.
The ELISA analyzers are used in the analysis of various hormones and serology markers. The reader facilitates accurate results to ensure good sensitivity & specificity.
In addition to routine tests like Widal, VDRL etc, serological investigations for "difficult to grow" pathogens as Chikenguniya, Dengue etc. are performed by enzyme immunoassay and latex agglutination techniques.

The fully automated haematology analyzers, HORIBA ES-60, perform complete blood count giving over 26 parameters for every sample within a minute. The analyzers boost of the high-speed auto-sampling with a capacity of over 80 samples per hour each alongwith STAT sampling facility. The equipments have integrated validation station with comprehensive delta-check flagging helping generate interpretative data, thereby warning about abnormalities of blood cells. All such 'flagged' samples are then visualised by the Pathologist to confirm diagnosis. The fully automated coagulometer PSR EASY CLOT analyzer is a complete workstation for haemostasis & coagulation studies.

The Biochemistry section is equipped with the latest technology from the ROCHE
COBAS C-111 biochemistry analyzers are equipped with primary tube sampling with sample identification via bar code scanner system. The analyzers are capable of handling 200 and 250 test results per hour respectively with the capacity for processing urgent (STAT) samples along with the batch analysis, thus making critical information available quickly for emergency samples. The patented spreading layer of the microslide technology minimises the interferences from hemolysis, lipemia and bilirubin thus improving the integrity of the result.

The microbiology lab is well equipped aerobic and anaerobic media inoculated with patient specimens suspected of having bacteremia, part from routine isolation & identification for aerobic organisms of all clinical samples, aerobic cultures are also done from the clinical samples.
The active microbiology surveillance of operation theatres & high-risk areas in the hospital forms part of the protocol of the hospital infection control. The hospital infection control committee lays down the policy for use of antibiotics, disinfectants & waste disposal.
